update for april!

Oh talking about April, i just realised that we (as in my class n the ppl around me) didnt really celebrate April Fools' day. Haha.. we used to do some stupid lame stuff on april fools' day. But it seems like no one really bothers nowadays, or is it because we in jc already.. I know it can get quite lame at times but it's like it's only these few days of the year that we get to do something lame to amuse ourselves. Must our lives always be so proper everyday?
Anyway, i must say april wasn't a very good month for me. So many things to do and think about, yet so little time. It's always this time of the year (like march onwards) that things start to speed up; i mean time passes so so so quickly i didnt even have time to think back and instead continue to plod along blindly or i'll be super lag. Just as i've mentioned before, why am i living my life so blindly? sigh..
Oh well, im digressing again! bahh... basically many things happened, like the knowledge that we're electing the guitar ensemble exco already( it's like so fast! how many months have we known one another? or should i say weeks.. it's like 8 weeks??!), heats for sports day, class leader election and today's Family Day at AJC. i cant really remember everything..should have blogged regularly.

1. Guitar Ensemble exco
It came as a shock followed by panic in me, coz i didnt expect this to come so fast. As i've said, we've only know each other for 8 weeks. And there wasnt much interaction between one another, i mean, i dont even know 3/4 of the ppl's names! So how do we elect an exco? By reading off their faces? Like if a face reads: hey look at me! i have a president's face..vote me! It's definitely not possible lah. it's so wrong, based on my other experiencees in jc. (ie not everyone who seem okay can be a leader. But anyway, i applied for VP and secretary after much much consideration. i didnt have the courage to put P; it's seems like a stereotype mindset that u should put VP rather than P even if u wanted badly to be P. Not that i want P badly, i mean who won't want it if given a chance although many would just take it because of the galmour. I understand the pressure and responsibility bestowed upon Ps, it's not just about glamour and the way ppl see u when they know u are a P, it's a huge task/responsibility and maybe a burden to some and im not sure if could handle such stuff. But if im not given a chance and i didnt give it a try, who knows? Just like before i was elected ACL, i didnt know i could assume leadership! It was a lucky opportunity that i had (and i sincerely would like to thank Cedar) and that gave me some insight to being a leader. And now i can safely say that i am a little wiser in the words i say and the things i do. To speak the truth, i am confident about assuming leadership now and hopefully i get my first choice position. Actually the only barrier that may hamper me is my guitar playing skills. It's quite embarrassing to say that yeah im the VP but i suck at guitar. Kind of ironic right? But sis says it's okay coz it's more important for VP to have leadership and management skills than guitar playing skills. Yupp it's quite true to some extent, but anyway i will still work hard on my guitar!!

2. Sports' Day heats
I did discus.
Don't laugh!! i really did discus! It was thanks to cindy tan aka 'huh de lian'. i couldnt do the running event coz i sprained my knee so im left with throwing events. i wanted to throw shot put but luckily i didnt coz it's much heavier. oh and all the competitors (5 of us) are cedarians!! cool right? wooo~ cedarians rawk so much coz we're so so enthu! Just like how we stayed back when everyone chiong home just to rearrange tables after guitar practice. So those neatly arranged tables u see every week are arranged by us! :) Oh back to discus, we waited one and a half hours just to throw the discus. And i came in 3rd! cindy came in 2nd! and of coz jieming was 1st (she's a discus thrower!). And jieming was so nice, she taught us the proper way to throw a discus seeing that we no nothing about throwing it. Thanks jieming! yayy! it's been so long since it received a sports' medal. haha..thanks to cindy too!

3. Class leaders election (21 april 2006)
Yesterday was nomination day of 2206! Sadly shirley wasnt there to vote.. hmm. Didnt get to ask many ppl about their votes..so i shall just say those whom i know were voted: shirley, amanda, nashita, jewel and myself! well it's 0 possibility that i will be elected coz only her voted me. hahas. i'm not disappointed at all coz i never expected my name to be even written on anyone's paper. i mean it feels really good that i have 1 vote, it may seem pathetic but it's definitely valuable to me. i think in 2206, it's her that knows me the best, therfore im happy to have her support. thanks a lot girl really.. but im sorry coz u'll be disappointed. -hugggs-
Anyway, just hope that the most deserving person will get the post and hopefully the class will be much much more bonded and yes, more communication please. i believe we're seriously lacking comm that's why there's so much friction and conflict. well, to the ppl of 2206, try understanding one another and put yourself in the person's shoes and not jump into conclusions so quickly. And of course, be sure to possess some integrity and not claim undue credits for yourself. People have eyes; you can deceive yourself and Her but definitely not the rest of us.
And it all boils down to one thing, u wont always get what u want in life; it's not what u know but who u know; life's like that, SMILE!

4. Family Day (22 april 2006)
Today was family day. It was quite fun walking around wasting money on weird food n drinks that students made. HA. it was quite a waste of coupons lah coz stuff were like so little in quantity and the stalls charge so much for it. hmph.. considering the fact that the coupons come in 50 cents pieces. Our stall was quite a flop i must admit. So sad coz i know shirley put in quite a bit of effort in it. But everything was too last minute. i mean we should have discussed the responsibilities and shifts well before hand and not one day before. Even the sudoko puzzles werent completed and printed by friday afternoon. i mean if it was some guides activity we had, there would have been at least two briefings before the actual event. it may seem troublesome but it really helps to get things into perspective, and that everyone would be clear of what to do. And mrs yim had to come in to help with the discussions and allocation of duties. She was really nice, like she said if we really needed help we could ask her for it and she would gladly help us. i was quite touched lah (wo bei mo le!!) haha. But really it was so kind of her to do so. If we had some POS teacher like the one for math, i guess he wouldnt have bothered. In the end, we only earned about 20+ dollars considering the fact that our game was priced at 50 cents and a dollar. Oh well, im glad it's all over.

Oh yes, did i mention that someone kop my locker. That bloody person refuses to budge after like close to 2 weeks after i pinned up a notice telling him to clear the locker. im so frustrated n pissed can? hopefully william can break the lock on mon and stop telling me to give that person more time.POS! God help me.. since on one else can. Supposedly xinchu is suppose to help me but well.. my locker is still locked up.it's quite weird that he manages to get the person who kop his locker to get lost but for my locker, it's taking ages. i wonder why.. let's hope for the best on mon.

i live on hope. faith. strength. courage.
i wanna sleep, study, school..
dont get what you want much though..
live for today, hope for tomorrow, dream of what could have been.
get up, dust your pants off and keep walking..
