i am

Confused
I know I’m not always right
I know I may be immature at times
But this time I know what I want
I just need a chance to make my own choice
Would you let me?

To you
I’m just like a child that needs a guiding hand
Have you ever thought that this child
Needs some letting-go?
I know you’re bothered by the distance
I know you’re more attracted to prestige

But somehow, I think substance is equally important
Can you stand in my place and take a good look?
Would you?
Not all N are ‘cha’
And not all S are good

--

Weird
I never thought this could last
I’d never dared to hope it will
Just a step at a time
Appreciating but not attaching

Afraid, that is
Of losing and
Of forgetting
If that’s the way thing’s gonna be
I’d rather not

You know I’m imperfect
I’m like a jigsaw with missing parts
And now I think you are one that fits
But since I can never be perfect
I think I can do without you

Just when I wanted to plant a full stop
You hit the pause
08:04:20
I’m don’t see where we’re heading
So I think I’d prefer a sole round one
