2006-jan n feb rojak :)

oh gosh! its been like 1 month n 16 days since i last blogged. just feel so sluggish n oh my, time really flies. i mean one month plus has already gone by and i just realised it. i feel so lagged. Everything happened so quickly and im just acting like a sponge-taking everything in as it is, not much reflection.
so here's a rojak of the past month of my life:

1. Went to AJC for my 1st 3 months: Orientation06 with my OG-Ciclon and OGFs Weihui, Zhenlong and Sze Ern. PDG: 13/06 and Guitar Ensemble Section 3.
--- Orientation was fun! OG was crazy n OGFs were really nice. But sadly, we didnt meet up after orientation except for the movie night in AJ.(which wasnt very successful considering only half or less than half the OG came. And weihui ps us! hmph! :) ) Hope to have more OG outings soon, even if some of us are leaving. :(
--- OH! my rocking class of 13/06. This bunch of ppl are even more fun coz we're like mad ppl. We have the 'sihui dang', the kachua, rambutan and 'the couple'. hahas. We're quite united I must say, have about 2 outings already. YAYY! jiayou! But i guess the class will not stay on coz of the tupid O levels results. sigh. Hope as many stay as possible ba!
--- Guitar Ensemble was quite okay. At least I had the company of some cedar friends- Weiyi, Jiahui n Majella. And yes, we're in the same section! hm..to be frank, i don't intend to stay in guitar after 1st 3 months unless I don't have a choice. i wanna join TENNIS! Sigh..hope for the best ba!

2. OGF interview and Tennis trial
---OGF interview was a huge screw-up. Ada was my interviewer. Like what the--, I'd rather have some ppl that I dont know can? I dont know why but I find it real awkward. But guess what? I GOT THROUGH! like what the--. I seriously suspect that it's because ada knows me, and maybe she thought I should be able to make it as an OGF. anyway, im happy :) !
--- Argh! tennis trial was a happy-sad thing. Coz i got thru the first round of trial but didnt manage the second round. 1st mistake: taking the right player's place. As in we go in two by two to play with the coach. and 1st audition i stood on the left, which was more comfortable for me but the 2nd round, i stood on the right! BIG BIG mistake. 2nd mistake: moving forward after first hit only to allow the ball to hit my shoes. Great! Then of sourse, I didnt get in. But hell, im gonna try again after 1st 3 months. Mum says she'll buy whatever I need for whatever CCA i get in.yayy! coz she's happy with my results, 'very good' as she sees it. bleahs I beg to differ.

3. The Cold Truth.
--- well, did u guess what it is? yeap, it's the O level result. 10th feb.hmm..u know? well u dont, so let me tell u. Actually before the release of the results, i thought,' die lah, this time sure more than 11 one.' And the day before the 'BIG' day, i had this horribly strong hunch that i'd get a 13 for L1R5. u know women's hunch/sixth sense is extremely accurate lah. so i was like horribly disgusted and freaked out. BUT, i must emphasize BUT..guess what? i got a an L1R5 of the sum of my birth year's digits(4 numbers) + the sum of my AJ's class digits minus the sum of my birthdate's day and month + 2 ! heh heh hehs! okay lah..i was stunned by the double digits but was rather happy that i didnt get what i had a hunch about. But when i saw what my classmates were getting, a 7 8 or 9..i could't take it! and so i cried. But that's not all of the reasons that made me really sad. well, i got an A2 for AM (what's the ydoolb problem with me?) and my humanities were both a B3. :( :( :( :( :( :( It was terrible okay..well at least for me. And u know i look so terrible when i cry, blotches of red will be on my nose and cheeks. Looks like i got rashes or something. =S
--- Here's something to be happy about: I scored an A1 in English!! Yayy! Never in my life did i ace my english until prelims and the o's. And for prelims i only managed an A2. so yes! it's an accomplishment. :)

4. WOW! Aeroplanes. (Courtesy of the AJC science department)
--- all J1s were forced encouraged to do an aeroplane that is 35 by 35 cm and we cannot use an A4 size paper to fold. so my group did a last minute one and it looks like this:

And basically all the work was done by me, spent like 2-3 hours doing it okay..but it doesn't really fly or i should say it doesn't fly at all. All it does is do somersaults in the air and then crash terribly onto the floor. Looking at its stats, what do u expect? Moreover, it's done by me, Miss Gay-the engineer-in-the-making. so... :)
And it's a competition and we're assessed by the time of flight in air and the perpendicular distance travelled with reference from the starting point. obviously my cute little plane can't fly far lah..sighs. Then there's this two groups who didnt do it and the teacher wanted the plane by afternn that day. So in the end the ppl ended up using a really big piece of paper to fold it into a paper plane and the teacher actually accepted it and took the necessary measurements. Their plane flew really far of course and they only spent a maximum of 5 minutes doing it. sigh..is there any justice and fairness left in this world.

Do it diligently in hours or do it in a slip-shod way in a few minutes, u get the same credit. Is this fair at all?

In life, it's not what you know, but who you know.我深深地体会到了.
