AJ idol 2007!

Just finished watching AJ Idol 07! hmm..can't say whether last year's one was better or this year's was better. i guess both years had their 'better contestents'. AJI was really a display of talents! So actually AJ students are not as mugger as you think they are.. they have their fun side and talented side that many have not seen.

The dance category was the one that i enjoyed the most. Freundrskreis was excellent! i love their dance steps! Cool! Liang Pei, Joanna were the two best dancers, Steven was not bad too! Overall they were coordinated and i thought Liang Pei's technique was one of the stronger ones, credit to her background in ballet. i thoroughly enjoyed it! The solo dancer really had my attention. Never in my life have i seen a guy executing ballet-like moves although the dance later evolved into a mix of contemporary dance and modern dance (i guess). im rather impressed by his brave performance. Glad he won the award for the dance catogory.

Watching today's performance reminded me that my passion for dancing hasn't really died. Actually it didn't die at all, just blanketed by the heavy schedule of a typical average Singapore JC student. i really enjoyed dancing and i think i will still enjoy dancing. Really hope i'd get to dance again one day, perhaps in the university.

Kenneth & Co (a duet with a guitar player) composed their own song to sing! That's really amazing! i've actually heard their composition once during the ND superstar competition on National Day celebration last year, not bad at all. This time, it's another song called The Story that was Never Told. i can't say it's fantastic, but it was definitely commendable! i've always admired those who can write and compose songs... i wish i could too! But i guess my knowledge of music isn't sufficient, so i shall continue to love singing. :)

Juliana was fab! Though she's only a J1, i'm actually quite impressed by her vocals. Good, clear and rather strong delivery. She sang Angela Zhang's 隐形的翅膀. Not an easy choice, really. Zhang's rendition was quite 高昂 and definitely isn't easy to sing that song. But she managed it quite well! Most probably, she has undergone vocal training to be able to sing that well. Nevertheless, it's really good. But sadly, she didn't win any awards. Lack of support i suppose.

Quite sad huh, contestents always have to have strong support from the audience to win. Sometimes i wonder if this is a good gauge of the contestents' ability. Just like last year's AJ Idol Champ... i shall not comment. :X

The AJ Idol 2007 title goes to Kenneth & Co. Not the one i voted for but i don't really mind them. Original composition should get recognition afterall. And their delivery of the song was rather good, considering the fact that both vocalists have choir background. Well done and congrats! At least this time around, our AJ Idol has some potential and substance. Yay!

Quite an enjoyable night! just that i didn't win anything from the lucky draws. haha! i'd really wanna get the 1GB thumbdrive.

One day, i will dance again. :)

a stronger me

well, just 2 weeks have passed since i last blogged. within just these 2 weeks, i learnt a little more- about myself, about some human beings around me, about the cause of certain problems that has plagued my life in JC.

don't really have the time nor do i feel like blogging about it now. just felt that i'd finally experienced the phrase ' what does not kill me, makes me stronger', a phrase used by the female lead in 情陷夜中环 II.
really, many things happen in life to reveal to us some profound truths that we've always been blinded to. i hope i'll always be able to emerge stronger than before after each lesson i go through in life.

what does not kill me, does make me stronger... i've just 2 more days to go before i complete the nth lesson im due to attend in life. gambatte ne!

oxymoron?

arghh!!!
i think im dying...
so many deadlines on thursday. it's the day before good friday! how could the teachers do this to me?!
hmm..good friday; bad thursday. am i suppose to apply the use of the word 'oxymoron' here? :S
now's already the morning of wednesday and i gotta get a full-length essay out, complete the geography DRQ and finish up vectors 3, all in a short span of a few hours. Consider the fact that i might end guitar practice at 7 or 8. holy shit! im super dead.
well, it must be the forces of globalisation: the increase in the speed at which people and goods are transported across the world. even ms gay has to work faster..

im sad.
